"The New York Times is reporting that Montana Sen. John Walsh plagiarized “at least a quarter” of his 2007 master’s degree thesis for the U.S. Army War College. According to the Times, Walsh copied an entire page nearly word-for-word from a Harvard paper, and each of his six conclusions is copied from a document from the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace without attribution."
By "the left" I assume you mean those neighbors who post here who are liberals? Maybe if they weren't de-humanized by being called "the left", with stereotypical traits of liberals as a group constantly assigned to them regardless of whether it fits them or not, and rather instead addressed as individuals who have a right to their opinions, of which everyone is a unique blend that cannot be easily fit into a neat box, without continually being belittled for their beliefs, then maybe they might participate more often. I know it sure does get old and boring for me to keep reading comments such as that, and make me feel like trying to debate is an exercise in futile sado-masochism.
Just my 2 cents.
BTW, that guy who's been vilified before as "not knowing what he's talking about", Jim Wright, posted a blistering attack on this man yesterday on his FB page
and I can't imagine that anyone here would disagree with anything he said. Though perhaps we should dismiss his opinion because he has liberal leanings?
But what really chaps my ass is this: We lead by example. Period. No exceptions. This guy was a wearing a rank he didn't deserve and had not earned - that's little different from those assholes who show up at 4th of July parades decked out in a uniform covered in medals, and then it turns out they never served.
It's Stolen Valor, however you look at it. This guy got a promotion to general officer, which means somebody else DIDN'T.
Leaving aside whether or not he should be allowed to keep his Senate seat (he will, at least until the next election), he should be forced to forfeit pay and allowances for all rank earned after the award of this degree. We've got enlisted folks trying to make ends meet on their paltry retirement pay, maybe they can get a job based on their military experience and more likely they can't. Or vets who didn't make it to retirement and are waiting hours in a VA clinic somewhere. And this assclown is pulling down $70K plus a year in retirement for a rank he didn't earn. That's bullsh**.

I'm disappointed that it's the "They do it too" response - that doesn't make it acceptable, and yes, I've called out those on "that" side who've done it as well so we're going to stop the complaint that I'm being partial and unfair before it begins. So shall we continue doing the same boring crap, or do we want to try to improve our dialog by listening to each other, discovering why we believe what we believe, and see if there's an illogical flaw somewhere that can be pointed out to change minds, or just agree to disagree on that small point while understanding that we all want the same big picture things?
And in case you hadn't noticed, that member has disappeared too. I'm tired of people leaving, you all should be too, unless you prefer chatting with the same few only...
Let's start making this the place to have fun, and have good conversations! Dammit!

I have never suggested that although delusional does come to mind. No one poster has a copyright on "they do it to". It is owned by the entire radical left.
