Political gain or defense? The WH was already being asked why they did not do anything to rescue him and other captives previously. When you get transparency you say you don't want it. Well I would say that the only good thing about having much more of a hands off administration than the last is that you allow the enemy to get complacent. What possible gain do we get from announcing that we tried and we failed other than giving Obama the ability to say he tried? This administration loves to reveal secret operations, and in the case of Bin Laden, it got the doctor who helped us a long jail sentence (unless he's already been killed). At some point this country has to not be so transparent to the enemies who want to kill us.Photo-fish wrote:
