The only show I watch on MTV is Ridiculousness, which clearly proves this theory to be true, men do far more idiotic things than women. I think it starts early on as boys try to impress girls by attempting acts of courage (and idiocy)... sometimes they continue well into adulthood. My guess is that gay men don't have this problem from what I've seen.

I don't think it has anything to do with sexual orientation - I think it's testosterone.

But in response to the OP, no, it does not explain rape. Rape is not idiotic - it goes far beyond that. Rape is evil.

There's a spike at birth when we're too helpless to do anything really stupid.

There's another spike between age 14 and 19. This is a big spike, and is the reason the X games have so many willing participants.

It then tends to decline throughout our lives, so theoretically, we should do less idiotic stuff as we age. Unfortunately, after 5 years of almost constant idiocy, the habits and patterns have set in and it requires less testosterone to trigger those idiocy causing synapses in our brains.

SLIGHTLY off topic, but a "guy thing" question....my girlfriend and I had a discussion about men's INability to be multi-fuctional...when it is second nature to women. I see it in my DH,she sees it in her "new" relationship of 2 years. WE don't understand the singular focus...any one care to tackle the question?

Men are not the question here. The real question within your question is why do women continually think they can multitask when it's been proven that the human brain is not capable of true multitasking?

In other words, conversation during a football game takes our focus away from the game. But we want to focus on the game, so we don't even realize a conversation is being attempted.

I'm taking it to mean multitasking. From the wording in the question, it could be referring to sex and the big O. I decided not to go there - this is after all, a family forum.
