American Intelligence and Election Hacking

15 Feb 2018 12:08 #11 by FredHayek
I find it quite amusing that America now worries about a foreign government hacking our elections when the US government has hacked the elections of so many countries. President Obama even meddled in the Israeli election while in office. Second thought, if you really believe America's elections are being hacked, then why have the Democrats won most of the special elections held recently? A special election with low turnout should be especially easy to hack. Maybe to make Americans feel more secure about their democracy, states should go back to paper ballots. Elections are usually controlled by the state and their attorney general, plus assistance from county clerks, which states are doing something about this?

Thirteen Russians criminally charged for interfering in US election, Mueller announces
Jon Swaine in New York, @jonswaine
Fri 16 Feb 2018 13.08 EST

Thirteen Russians have been criminally charged for interfering in the 2016 US election to help Donald Trump, the office of Robert Mueller, the special counsel, announced on Friday.

Mueller’s office said 13 Russians and three Russian entities, including the notorious state-backed “troll farm” the Internet Research Agency, had been indicted by a federal grand jury in Washington DC.

A 37-page indictment alleges that the Russians’ operations “included supporting the presidential campaign of then-candidate Donald J Trump ... and disparaging Hillary Clinton,” his Democratic opponent.

The Russians allegedly posed as Americans to operate bogus social media accounts, buy advertisements and stage political rallies. They stole the identities of real people in the US to post online and built computer systems in the US to hide the Russian origin of their activity, according to the indictment.

All were charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States. Three defendants were charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud, and five defendants were charged with aggravated identity theft.

Right there Russia spent >$1.2M on this operation
They set the ground work in late 2013/2014
Ramped up shortly after June 2016
(when Trump clinched the RNC nomination)
The Russians targeted Cruz, then Rubio and supported Trump while damaging Clinton
CONSPIRACY not COLLUSION

The level of detail on the social media ads...ever wonder why I was obsessed with the Congressional hearings of Google, Facebook and Twitter?
Welp the Indictment is incredibly detailed

Roughly 14 pages of 37 SOLEY dedicated to the ongoing Russian Project. Placing ads, hastags, using false identities to create social media accounts. Communicate unwittingly campaign Staff, volunteers of the Trump campaign (see red arrow)

There’s ZERO doubt that Russians attempted to suppress the voters of color to vote for Clinton. They engaged in race wars and @realDonaldTrump campaign & supporters amplified Russia’s goals.

The level of detail and specificity is just astounding.
Let’s just take a moment and thank the @FBI @NSAGov @CIA @TheJusticeDept
This is incredible work. The scope and scale is monolithic
Also @realDonaldTrump still want to call this a hoax or witch hunt?
July 2016 80 employees

The defendants used Servers in the United States,
The Russian PAID Americans to amplify their messages
Again the Russians used BOTH sides against each other.
Targeting, TX, CO, VA, PA, NYC
EIGHT CRIMINAL ACCOUNTS, EIGHT.

Counts 3-8 using false IDs
Should note that nothing in this Indictment shows Americans knew they were being paid by Russians.
Also this is NOT the last indictment
Russia wants Americans attacking Americans
They play BOTH sides against each other.

I want you to reread page 4 paragraph#6 of the Indictment.
“unwitting officials with the Trump campaign”
The Russians created a VPN here in the United States.
That’s important to remember
Again this Indictment is stunning in the detail and scope.
@realDonaldTrump NOT a HOAX.

read between the lines and ask yourself:
Why would 2 of these defendants travel to, CO, MI, FL, VA, TX...
WHY did Trump’s campaign do the last minute trip to MI?
My gut has always said @jaredkushner @CamAnalytica micro targeting.
See thread:

https://twitter.com/Alt_Spicerlies/status/915682280848404485

ask yourself WHY Russia & @realDonaldTrump had cross over efforts in FL, PA, NYC.
ask yourself why Russia played both sides
pro/con Trump against each other?
Russia sits back & watch Americans rip each other to shreds. See Pgs 22 & 23

The Russians also supported Bernie Sanders for President. Nostalgia for the old days of Lenin and Stalin? Is that why they were supporting the leftist choice?

They also did ad campaigns for Jill Stein, trying to split the vote and sow further dissension. As described in the memo and in that long article I posted earlier by Molly McKew, they have been working all sides of this. Their goal isn't so much to get people "on their side" elected as it is just to disrupt and weaken the U.S. and the West as a whole. We have to recognize their efforts and actively overcome the propaganda.

The greatest good we can do our country is to heal its party divisions and make them one people.

Yes, in fact! I personally think the system that Jeffco has in place should be adopted by every county across the country. If you haven't taken a tour of the Jeffco Clerk & Recorders Office, I highly recommend it.

Every voter receives a paper ballot. Their operational system from the chain of command the moment a ballot enters their facility is nothing short of incredible. The double and triple checks on voter signatures, how they handle ballots to keep them confidential, how they tally the votes is exactly how every county should be doing it.
