Wow! What conservatives are promoting death panels? But using your reasoning(?) it's a good thing that all those babies are aborted, because they could get sick if alive and would use hospital beds that would otherwise be available for grandma and grandpa.

Texas' lieutenant governor suggests grandparents are willing to die for US economy
www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2020/...-economy/2905990001/

The lieutenant governor of Texas argued in an interview on Fox News Monday night that the United States should go back to work, saying grandparents like him don’t want to sacrifice the country’s economy during the coronavirus crisis.

Republican Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, 69, made the comments on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” after President Donald Trump said he wanted to reopen the country for business in weeks, not months.

Patrick also said the elderly population, who the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said are more at risk for COVID-19, can take care of themselves and suggested that grandparents wouldn’t want to sacrifice their grandchildren’s economic future.

Are you showing your true colors with these posts decrying the need for steps to slow down the virus. Are political ideology and the "economy" are more important than people's lives? Try being a part of the community that is trying to help slow this epidemic by staying put rather than simply a political pundit.

How many people do you think will die if the economy goes completely south? The government can only prop us up for so long before their credit fails. I have a feeling that the situation here would make Venezuela a desirable location by comparison.

Yes, as a matter of fact. I certainly won't take the word of a media that has proven they will lie incessantly to achieve a desired outcome. SHOW ME A PICTURE!
See this CDC chart: I would have expected that curve to continue up as more tests are delivered and used. If new cases are actually dropping, then I would not expect to see overflowing ER's. The medical people around here are saying there is no increase in patient numbers that they are seeing. They are getting calls and questions from frightened people. I am not saying the virus is a hoax, just saying that it seems awfully interesting that it has been used to essentially deprive of all freedoms - every one of them. The DoJ even went so far as to ask for suspension of habeus corpus. No hot war could have achieved this - the destruction of our economy and the willful surrender of freedoms. There is much more to this than just a virus. If you believe the propaganda channels, you will be easily led to your own destruction.

What would you do, Fred? Let people go to work to assume a normal life once again? Are you willing to die for the economy?

I honestly don't know. But to blame the bad economy on Trump is partisan nonsense. This is a once in a lifetime pandemic. No nation was prepared for the number of infected. I will be interested to see how other nations do as they implement different solutions. Ireland just shut down the nation, too late? It might take a year to find out.

Wow. Wouldn't it be nice if we had non-partisan news sources? I bet if we did, people would still use the ones that confirmed their beliefs.
