If anyone bothered to watch, what was you reaction to Day 1 of the Virtual Democrat Convention?

What?? They are having a convention???

I watched a little bit of it, the wife kept changing the channel because Michelle Obama droned on for too long.
I did find it interesting that they tried to go all patriotic for the opening. Saying the Pledge of Allegiance and playing the national anthem. Did they have to provide teleprompters so the socialists in the crowd would know the lyrics? Plus no one kneeled. Maybe the people in charge realize the hating America wing of the party costs them votes? They will probably cancel the flag burning rally today too. They haven't decided if they will still have the Molotov Cocktail toss.

It is interesting that democrats run for office by pretending to be republicans. I do not think it can fly this time because their brown shirts are busy burning down the cities and beating people to death in the streets.

Far Right Republicans and QAnon sympathizers like the ones on this website are rigidly convinced that they are the only true patriots. Obviously the opposite is true. They are the great prevaricators, spreading lie after lie about the election and attacking anyone who is a true patriot.

No, it is not a monopoly. Both the democrats and the republicans CHOOSE what they put forward. That is the point.

So you support the defense of this nation against enemies both foreign and domestic? You accept the oath to protect the Constitution and Bill of Rights, in their entirety?

The point is that you can be a patriot regardless of political party. Blazer Bob insinuates that Democrats are not patriotic, that Republicans are the only true patriots.

No party has a monoploy on patriotism. Each American loves their country in their own way.

A very vague statement. So communists, socialists, social democrats and whatever are patriots? I think the terms treason, traitor and sedition are soon to have a real meaning to some.
