WSJ is reporting viewership is down 28% compared to 2016. Makes sense, in 2016, we got to witness the nomination of the first woman to a major political party. This year? Another old white guy gets the nomination and the rumor is that he will not even attend the event in person since he is a member of a high risk group.
Senator Biden was officially nominated last night, quite anti-climatic since we have known for months. Some interesting data. Joe won with over 2000 delegates, but Senator Sanders despite suspending his campaign got 1000. Many more than Senator Harris. Should he have been the VP? I think that might have helped encourage the far left to get out the vote more.

On the heels of several months of record setting gun sales, the DNC pushes gun control. Never interrupt your enemy while they are harming themselves. Awesome.

It's a beautiful thing. I'm hoping Beto is going to speak and tell us how he's going to take our guns, just the "bad" ones he doesn't like of course.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Wednesday night ratings were off 49%. Some media spin doctors were saying they preferred the virtual convention because the speeches were more intimate but personally I like the sloppy conventions with floor fights, protestors outside, last minute back room deals, just more fun and dramatic. This felt more like a TV dinner. Pull out the frozen entree, tear back the foil on a section, and pop it in the oven. Artificial.

Battleground state polling is reporting little or no convention bounce for Biden/Harris 2020. This might be because of the Corona Convention, we didn't get to see thousands of people cheering on the senators as they accepted the nomination. Or maybe the nation isn't excited about another old white guy getting the nomination?
This isn't like Obama being the first black man nominated, or Hillary Clinton being the first woman. This is just a career politician with an unremarkable career in the Senate. Beset with plagarism claims from college to his former presidential campaigns, and also problematic statements about race, bussing, and even inappropriate gestures with young girls.
