By your logic in that statement, those on the "right" are more patriotic than dems.

No party has a monoploy on patriotism. Each American loves their country in their own way.
A very vague statement. So communists, socialists, social democrats and whatever are patriots? I think the terms treason, traitor and sedition are soon to have a real meaning to some.
Being a communist, socialist or social democrat is not treason. If a person believes in those systems, then that is their right. If they believe those systems are the correct path for the future of our country, that is not unpatriotic. You may not agree with their conclusion, but it does not mean they are not patriotic.

If they took any sort of payment for secrets, or can be proven to attempt to overthrow the authority of our elected leaders or the Constitution or Bill of Rights, then yes it is treason. They will get their day in court, probably a military tribunal, and be executed per the laws of this nation. Treason, sedition and being a traitor are as serious as it gets, the only other thing may be crimes against humanity.

1. Candi CdeBaca represents both, should she be held for treason? No, she is working within the law.
2. Republicans more patriotic than Dems? Not necessarily. Many Dems have served along side with Repubs in the military. I think the older Kennedy era Dems were very patriotic differing primarily on social issues. When people support America first, they are patriots.
