ARE YOU IMPRESSED OR INFLUENCED OR NEITHER

Politicians, both democrat and republican are making a show of getting the Pfizer vaccine. Does that make you feel more comfortable in getting he vaccine? Does it annoy/upset you that politicians are getting to the head of the line? Do you care at all?
Your germane comments will be appreciated.

I think the visual is vital.....IF the prominent leaders (EXCEPT TRUMP) R open to a vaccine that has not
been thru a sufficient "proving" timeline.....it might encourage and re assure the masses. HOWEVER,
see my most recent post on INDUSTRY UPDATES.....food for thought.

I think they are taking vaccines away from those who need it more.

Some 500 politicians when you have millions of doses of vaccines isn't going to cut into the supply. They have probably lost more due to shipping problems. Plus most politicians are in the high risk category due to age and how many more people they hang out with on a daily basis. Senator Rand Paul is choosing to not take the vaccine since he already had Covid-19. Hopefully others with antibodies will also pass. President Trump has not announced if he will take the vaccine, but he is another who has already recovered from the Covid.

Point to consider, most of the vaccines are using the MRNA way to protect people from Covid-19. Astra-Zeneca is going old school and using dead Covid cells. My brother is going to hold out for the Astra one. He thinks subjects will have less problem with auto-immune disorders with the traditional vaccine.

Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.

Who’s gramma should have to forego the vaccine so that politicians can get a photograph? It’s bad optics.

Looking for bad optics, how about this:

'Line-jumping' AOC, 31, says she got COVID vaccine before frontline workers and elderly to 'reassure Americans it's safe' as she hits back at critics including fellow squad member Ilhan Omar
The Democrat socialist

Did not want to start a new topic as this speech by Rand Paul is all about the Establishment and its' non-concern for the plebes (us).

The point here is that Rubio, Graham, and other Republicans that have received the vaccine downplayed the virus threat, and yet they are virtually first in line to get the vaccine.

I must have missed them downplaying the virus. I’m not surprised because the virus should be downplayed but thought they were more establishment pawns.

Here's one:

www.mercurynews.com/2020/12/21/gop-lawma...ed-for-getting-shot/

“I encourage all Iowans and Americans to do the same when their time comes,” she said. “Thanks to #OperationWarpSpeed and the tireless work of Americans across the country, we are one step closer to defeating this virus.”

But her early vaccination drew swift condemnation on social media, with many pointing to comments she had made in September during her successful reelection campaign suggesting that health care workers were inflating Covid-19 death numbers for profit.

One viral tweet from Sawyer Hackett, a senior adviser to former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro, placed Ernst’s false comments under the caption “How it started” alongside her photo receiving the vaccine under the caption “how it’s going.”

I am pleased that they are receiving the vaccination and are presenting a responsible government for once, but I just think it is hypocritical.
