Yesterday, December 22, Trump issued 15 pardons. Of particular note, he pardoned four military contractors convicted of opening fire on a crowd and killing 14 unarmed Iraqis in Baghdad in 2007. It's known as the Nisour Square massacre. One had been sentenced to life in prison, the other three had 30 year sentences.

Does anyone here have an opinion of pardoning these four convicted Blackwater Security goons?

I expected nothing less...it WILL get worse till the 21st Jan.....in another dimension they will be celebrating
TRUMPS' Inauguration on the 20th....it will be the ultimate "fuck U" fantasy.....the level of delusion and
disintegration is truly mind blowing.

On a lighter note, Governor Polis has pardoned the parents of the balloon boy! He says the family has been through enough.

The events in this "massacre" are disputed of course. I will accept that Trump believed the defendent's story of an ambush. I don't know much about it beyond that but what I do know is that when you go after someone well beyond the scope of the law and break a multitude of laws in the process, you forge someone who doesn't believe the reported story.

Unintended pun, but I will keep it in.

These four men were convicted and sentenced in a court of law, which is no small feat. I think I will trust the judiciary.

Now Trump has pardoned Jared Kushner's father. Tell me again how this is not an abuse of power.

I’m tempted to do the “They did it too” deflection, but I won’t. It is seeming to be an abuse of power.
