Perfect timing? If you are going to block the Suez Canal for a couple weeks, now is the time to do it. Most economies are already slowed, and by not using the Canal, you only add twenty days to the journey.

Another toilet paper shortage? Maybe, but I suspect many of us here have at least a case at home now plus a good idea how long a roll will last.

The owners should rename the ship that's blocking Suez Canal traffic the SS Mitch McConnell.

BACKLOG of 321 ships waiting for thru passage....that's alot of cargo....

Especially with these new monster container ships. I saw a picture of one travelling in the canal and it dwarfed all the buildings around it.

Finally Astrology solves something! The tides of the super moon this week helped to dislodge the ship. The ship has moved to a manmade lake and is currently out of the way while they decide if repairs are needed.
The first ships through carried livestock. I didn't realize until a few months ago that lots of livestock is still shipped alive. Recently a Japanese ship in the Pacific transporting cattle back to Tokyo capsized and live cattle were swimming, until the sharks found them. They must have liked having an alternative to fish on their menus that night.
