How about when the Bonus Army took over DC after WWI?
Looks like Republican "Whatabout's" have turned into "Howabout's."

So you do admit the media and Biden are unfairly blowing this up. The Capitol demonstrations weren't as bad as they claim.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
On January 6, right-wing thugs stormed the U.S. Capitol during a joint session of Congress to stop certifying the vote and take certain lawmakers hostage. All fueled by a misguided belief that the 2020 Presidential election was "stolen," despite hard evidence and testimony to the contrary.
It was the worst attack on the Capitol since the by Puerto Rican extremists. Protesters came within striking distance of many lawmakers, including VP Mike Pence. It is notable that one protester was shot and killed attempting to climb through the broken door of the chamber where lawmakers were cowering. The insurrectionists did finally gain access to that chamber, but only after security officers ushered lawmakers to another location.
If the insurrectionists had been left wing, I think those on the Right would scream from the rooftops about it. Instead, they downplay it. There's no question why they chose part over country.
But, the Justice Department presses on with arrests and trials of those involved, aided by the criminals' own video and photographs, along with family and friends who have turned them in.
The attack on U.S. lawmakers while they were doing their job will forever be a stain on the extreme right wing of the Republican Party. That there has been no Congressional panel to investigate it throughly is a disgrace. Instead, a depressing number of senior Republicans continue to defend Trump and play down the events of Jan. 6, even as the party blocks creation of a bipartisan commission to examine the event.
Meet Landon Copeland who admitted to the FBI that he fought with the police but is still telling his friends on Facebook that it was a peaceful protest.
THIS IS WHAT WILL BE WRITTEN IN HISTORY MOVING FORWARD......WORST ATTACK SINCE 1812 war......DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MINIMIZE/DISMISS THE SEVERITY OF THIS FUBAR.
read the long narrative, then THINK ABOUT WHAT THE WORLD WITNESSED AND HOW OUR
COUNTRY HAS CHANGED ( NOT for the better)....I am pissed that there are those who believe "it
was a small, peaceful protest and OVER blown.....the grasp of reality ESCAPES that sector....we,as a
nation, R screwed when simple minds spew that rhetoric JMO.

Worst attack since 1812? I guess you spaced out Puerto Rican extremists shooting up Congress.
Or other extremists who tried to kill the Vice President at his official residence in the 1950's? Or when John Wilkes Booth's allies targeted Lincoln and his cabinet in 1865?
Those were much more extreme than Buffalo Boy and some rednecks stealing Nancy's furniture.

Another trip down memory lane instead of addressing the current insurrection.
