But usually "sovereign citizens" are not minorities like these in Massachusetts. I do wonder if their arrests will be appealed because Massachusetts has laws against weapons on public highways. That would seem to violate the 2nd Amendment. You can buy a gun but you can't bring it home? Or have it in your vehicle when traveling from state to state.

So, "sovereign citizens" are usually white people?

I don't know but most of the reports about them do feature Caucasians. The non-violent arrest of them would seem to refute BLM claims that if African-Americans were carrying AR-15's in public, they would be gunned down by police and National Guard. The group claims to not be anti-government or against the police. LOL, maybe Massachusetts will just fine the out of staters and they will leave and refuse to pay the fines? Some of the arrested are refusing to give their names.

I guess they didn't bring regular clothes to ride to and from the training grounds in Maine.

"Why don't we make the long trip in our tactical gear?" was not the brightest idea.

Other self-identified Moorish sovereigns have been involved in violence in recent years, often targeting government officials and law enforcement. In 2017, Markeith D. Loyd, claiming to be a Moorish sovereign, shot an Orlando police officer and ran over a county sheriff’s deputy while wanted for killing his pregnant girlfriend. Loyd was convicted of first-degree murder in October 2019, and he is set to face trial in the killing of the Orlando officer this year. In 2016, Gavin Eugene Long, an alleged member of the Washitaw Nation, a Moorish sovereign group, ambushed six police officers, killing three with an assault rifle in Baton Rouge, and dying in a shootout with police.
