Reagan was originally a Democrat but felt the party became too radical. He was also a union president, head of the Screen Actors Guild. Want to compare him to President Biden who was a DC insiders for 40 plus years? The Bushes?

The reason I ask this question is that President Reagan was a card carrying union member, 100,000+ strong, prior to being elected governor of California. Are those the elites that you are referencing?

I have absolutely NO IDEA what this sentence means........I have ALWAYS stated I was in corp America in a union......as an occupational employee... Management???? R U KIDDING ME......I am a non conformist and
would NOT last 1 minute in management, I AM NOT A YES PERSON.

SAG is mandatory, IF u want the lucrative parts, and I believe there r requirements that outline the procedure. (U do the research).....so, when u say he was in the union,he HAD TO BE to get lead roles.

Having been in a union, I KNOW the Presidents of those unions r usually "in bed" with the company,so that factor is a throw away.

It is disingenuous to proffer yourself as knowledgeable of corporate America because you worked in a union that contracted with a corporation. In accord with your representation, all members of the United Auto Workers are also corporate America.

I did the research: SAG is not mandatory.

Please tell us the names of these union presidents that are in bed with the company. Or are you simply
making an unsubstantiated comment.

IF I understand correctly,LEADING ROLES r then not available to u...AS TO THE PAST PRES. OF CWA AND WHO WAS CEO OF COMP.....i HAVE TO GO TO ARCHIVES.....The break up (divestiture)of the comp was a fubar and I believe it was JOE IGNACIO as CEO and I still have to search for who was heading up the CWA during that time frame.....some back door deals were done that were NOT passed thru the union members(if I remember correctly, that was when our district went on a 'WILD CAT STRIKE"
(IT WAS 1983 for our wildcat.....FLASHDANCE was the trending movie) u r asking me about factors that pertained to OUR DISTRICT ALMOST 40 YEARS AGO)

AH YES........my DH knew the info....JOE NASHEO Hi level dude and Marty Burns was pres of CWA,
two things happened, during and after divestiture....Joe went to QUEST and was later brought up on misappropriation charges AND MARTY BURNS WENT INTO AT&T management (recruited)

BACK TO THE ORIGINAL TOPIC......AFTERMATH OF R.V.W

www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2022/0...-a-medical-nightmare

New, untested abortion bans have made doctors unsure about treating some pregnancy complications, which has led to life-threatening delays and trapped families in a limbo of grief and helplessness.

LONG ARTICLE OR 11 MINUTE AUDIO.......THIS is despicable, dire and SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING.

Any time new legislation is passed, there will be uncertainty about how it will be administered. Colorado used to have a law that banned adultery but no one had been arrested for violating it for decades. So expect it to take a few months before guidelines are figured out.

So the voters of a state got to decide their abortion laws instead of an appointed panel of judges. Sounds more like a win for direct democracy than a win for abortion rights. (The Kansas state legislature could still choose to ban abortions or put common sense limits on it like a 20 week ban.),
