That was a calculated strategic move, and it worked, As you know, Joe and the DNC used the same strategy and refused any debates with anyone who wanted to challenge Slo Joe.
The big event is a different story. If one wants to debate and the other doesn't, that will send a message to the voters. Biden can't even have a meeting with a world leader without his not card, so we know how disastrous it would be to put that old fool into a debate where he would have to use his own brain... what's left of it.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
