the former president has now had nearly a decade to burnish his understanding of how Washington, D.C., works, and to assemble a political machine laser-focused on exploiting a federal government full of loopholes to give him the power to enact an authoritarian agenda that could spell disaster for the economy, the environment, human rights, and democracy.

THIS is NOT A HIT PIECE.......review Trump's tirade of statements.....sounds like AUTOCRATIC ASSAULTS TO ME......south America COMES TO MIND

Enjoy it while you can. "Tirade of statements" ......EXACTLY.
Meanwhile Biden's actions are the those of a banana republic.

Imagine if a law was created, it had no victims if broken, people broke it all the time, but they only prosecuted the people who were your political opponents.

Do you think that is a good way to run a nation?

It would be like a Boulder police officer who only gave tickets to Republicans.

Or a southern judge who only imprisoned African Americans for public drunkenness.

Or only fined homosexuals who practiced Sodomy, not heterosexuals.

Trump hasn't learned how to operate in DC?

But never mind, let's dust off this eight year old case.

Once again, Fred, that is not reality. That is what has been fed to you by the Republican cult.

Look at all the crimes that Donny has been charged with and those convictions. Geeez, he was impeached twice, he tried to overturn a legal election by inciting his followers, he's been convicted of sexual assault, of defamation, of business fraud.

What more has to happen before you actually open your eyes and say to yourself "Know what, maybe this guy is not a good person. Maybe he actually has broken the law."

Impeached only means indicted.
Look at the history of impeachments. It isn't a slam dunk like you say. It mostly happens when your political opponents have the majority in the legislature.

If the Republicans had a 2/3's majority in the Senate when Clinton was impeached, he would have been removed from office and Al Gore would have replaced him.

Trump? He is guilty of lots of crimes, most people are. But if you only prosecute your political opponents, you have created one party rule. Republicans will simply not run candidates because they know Democrats will find a crime and convict them.

Some Latin American nations do not let politicians be charged with crimes while in office, because they found the police would round up their political opponents on nuisance charges right before big votes.

Are you sure you want America establishing the precedent of charging political opponents right before a big national election?

So, we shouldn't prosecute people that break the law, especially politicians that are in office? Is that what you are saying?

Sure, get Nancy Pelosi right now for insider trading. She literally buys stocks because she knows which companies are about to receive huge government contracts. Martha Stewart went to jail for this offense. Powerful Speaker Pelosi? She has never been charged for this crime despite earning hundreds of millions and doing it for decades.

Nobody is above the law, except Congress who write themselves exemptions to the laws they pass.

If they have broken the law, then they should be prosecuted. Simple. See, I fixed it for you.
