BTW - Hitler used language like "poisoning the blood of our country" and "vermin." There are even more phrases that the Fascist Donald has used that echo Hitler, so the comparison is appropriate.

On Monday morning, CNN anchor Kasie Hunt abruptly ended an interview with Trump spokesperson Karoline Leavitt, who repeatedly assailed Tapper and Bash as “biased” news anchors. After booting Leavitt from her program, Hunt noted that “if you’re attacking the moderators, you’re usually losing.”

Hunt is, of course, spot on. The hang-up, however, for MAGA Media is that they’ve forced themselves into a corner. Now, they’re trying to find a way to break free — and they’re getting desperate.

On the one side, Biden is a tottering old fool with cognitive decline. Yet, if he "wins" the debate, he's not. So, Republicans and conservative commentators have to make up conspiracies, like "he's getting the questions ahead of time, like Hillary" or "Biden is on drugs." You know the things that you, Rick, cannot prove.

Interesting fact, the Trump White House had a drug problem. They gave out all sorts of drugs from the pharmacy to basically anyone who asked. So it's kind of ironic that Republicans are talking about a drug problem with Biden.

Unless one of them has a total meltdown, this debate won't matter. We already know these two old fossils already. And the debate is before even the conventions. Earliest debate between the two primaries in history.

So you think the moderators can be fair if they think Trump is like Hitler? Are you serious? At least find a couple people who are better at pretending to be unbiased “journalists”. And BTW, using a word like vermin doesn’t mean you want to kill millions of people. That’s just silly.

At a recent rally, former President Donald Trump used language in a speech that echoed Adolf Hitler, comparing his political opponents to "vermin."

"We pledge to you that we will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists, and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country," he told a New Hampshire crowd.

Authoritarian rhetoric has been central to Trump's political trajectory - and his time as president. Ruth Ben-Ghiat, professor of history at NYU and author of the book "Strongman," defines authoritarianism this way:

"It's when the executive branch and the leader find ways to take away checks and balances," she said. "So they have a degree of power that they don't have in a democracy, and they find ways to take away the independence of the legislature and the independence of the judiciary."

"What we have witnessed from Trump over the last few weeks is something new," said Robert Jones, founder of the Public Religion Research Institute, or PRRI. "Trump has clearly crossed into the domain of Nazi ideology openly."

It's always the Vermin has always been a term used as a negative description, just like the word rat . Others in your party have labelled large groups of people the same way, as in "basket of deplorables" , "semi-fascists" maga-extremists" ,"terrorists". They are all just words.

The leftist climate nutters would like to see billions of less people on this planet in order to save it. I wonder how that would be accomplished...

Anyway, if you only focus on the words and not the actual actions, you eventually just look foolish when your dire predictions fall flat, again and again.

I have to wonder if the biased moderators will be bold enough to "fact" check Trump, as is often done by leftist moderators, or if they will just allow both men to speak and allow the public to decide?

I have my doubts, but the mods would be smart enough to at least act like they are not Biden fans and treat both the same way.

I may have to record this and count the lies and see who is the biggest liar. My money is on Biden.
