Prior to Trump, abortion was considered a constitutional right and there was no need to codify it, since it was inconceivable that Roe v Wade could be overturned. But sure, go ahead and distort history to try to make it the liberals fault that abortion is no longer a right.

Sort of how the conservatives keep talking about "taking away our guns" and "libruls want to get rid of the 2nd amendment?" Sort of like that?

It was a right recognized by our government for half a century, Bob, and then it suddenly wasn't. How is it possible that a right could be taken away?

Gun rights taken away?

One way this can happen is the newly created "Red Flag" laws.

Suppose K gets upset with me for something I said. She could find out who I am, call the police and claim I am deranged and a danger to the community. The Park County sheriff would have to come out to my property and take away my guns. Then the burden of proof would be on me to get my own possessions back.

This is a very dangerous step up from the usual policy of "innocent until proven guilty." This makes it more like the Napoleanic Code of "guilty until proven innocent".

Think that is fair? Or if it saves one life, we want our deputies packing up people's guns even if the evidence is minimal?
