Probably a safer mode of transporting POTUS to Andrews to catch AF1 than a motorcade . . . probably less disrupting to everyone else who lives and works in the area too. Helicopters are transported in a C5 Galaxy on every trip the President makes. Sometimes it can be the quickest means of evacuating the President from a dangerous situation.

The Army Black Hawk helicopter involved in the fatal midair collision near Reagan National Airport last week had an advanced tracking system turned off at the time of the incident, according to Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.
The Texas Republican on Thursday told reporters that the Black Hawk helicopter's automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-, which is permitted for military aircraft, was not active when it collided with an American Airlines passenger jet over the Potomac River in the Washington, D.C., area, killing 67.
"This was a training mission, so there was no compelling national security reason for ADS-B to be turned off," Cruz said after sitting in on a briefing by the National Transportation and Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Wasn't part of a regular flight for a pilot to have that feature turned on since at least 2018 . . . why would any pilot turn that feature on if it wasn't part of their checklist or PnP for the flight?
PRETTY SIMPLE... if u r wearing night vision goggles (still needs confirmation) AND U R IN AN EXTREMELY CONGESTED AIR SPACE....i would rather be safer than sorry ...but hey, that is just me, IF I WERE PILOTING A MULTI MILLION DOLLAR CRAFT....
DEFENSIVE DRIVING would be a comp....ALWAYS leave a 'bubble of space around your car"...if at all possible....allowing u exit options if there is an "incident".....NEVER be in a pack of cars, bumper to bumper....JMO
