DOGE Gains Access to Confidential Records on Housing Discrimination, Medical Details — Even Domestic Violence
by Jesse Coburn
You don't want to know if there is unreported discrimination occurring, if there is a greater than normal occurrence of domestic violence at HUD subsidized/managed properties, or if people are fraudulently claiming a medical condition as a reason why their housing should be subsidized HA?
So is any of this legal? The courts will ultimately decide that, and the lawsuits have started in earnest. What the courts decide — and whether the Trump administration abides by the court rulings — could determine whether the country is in a full-blown constitutional crisis, legal experts say.
The arguments in the courts on DOGE are about two things, explained Jessica Levinson, a professor at Loyola Law School and host of the “Passing Judgment” podcast. “One is, ‘Are you going about this the right way?’ And two, ‘Can you do this at all?’”
“We don’t see judges across the board saying ‘No,’” she said. “It’s a mixed bag.” And it could take months or longer for these court fights to resolve, potentially ending at the Supreme Court.
YES,... no one has balls, we (collectively) have turned into a nation of wimps....i AM UTTERLY ASTOUNDED THAT COURAGE HAS BEEN VACATED.
PrintSmith asked you some very easy straight forward question... you refuse to answer because you're not interested in the actual facts, you're only attracted to an article that YOU THINK puts Trump in a bad light. Keep digging for outrages, this is getting to be hilarious.
A fact is information without emotion.
An opinion is information shaped by experience.
Ignorance is an opinion without knowledge.
Stupidity is an opinion that rejects facts.
DOGE employees are special government employees. The people who work at HUD have access to all of that information, why shouldn't other government employees have access to the information? Critical to that question is this . . . DOGE employees have read-only access to the information, they may not add, delete, or alter the data the way employees of HUD may.

Same thing happened under Biden when he tried to cancel student loan debt . . . suits were filed in court challenging how he was going about it and if he had to ability to do it at all. So why is it all of a sudden a massive constitutional crisis now that the same exact scenario is playing out under a Trump administration HA?
And, we know, that Biden didn't accept or follow the court decisions, he simply went about doing what the courts said he couldn't do in a slightly different manner to see if he could do an end around the laws and the Constitution on the way to unilaterally doing what he wanted to do. Where were all of the ideologically driven "reporters" at WaPo wailing and gnashing their teeth about a potential constitutional crises when Biden failed to accept the rulings of the courts HA? Why are you worried about Trump potentially ignoring the courts but you weren't worried in the slightest when Biden did ignore the courts? A fair question, don't you think?
