A doctor once told me every medicine is a poison. It might help you, but it might also hurt you. And some medicines work for 90% of people and some will have a bad reaction to it. Humans are very diverse. A good survival strategy.
So I choose to not be a Guinea Pig. Let's see a few years of use by the general population before I choose to take it.
Even OTC's I watch my consumption of. I have started limiting my use of NSAID's. I will now wait an hour before taking pain relief medicine. See if I really need it. 90% of the time I don't.

ou can name these drugs because you don't of any. YOUR Quote AUBREY
IF u elect to do the research,u will find a list of drugs pulled...I will not do that for u. Your insistence that the FDA is fully functional and has not be eviscerated will be your demise...putting your trust in drugs is
a personal choice, i find your trust misplaced. BUT,each has to make their own decisions...and suffer the side effects,u weigh the positive against the negative ...what side of the equation r u willing to gamble?
what u seem not to comprehend is this....the doctor, and pharmco r in it to make money, not to improve your health, they r not that vested, what they r vested in is money. The masses see an advertisement for a condition and a drug that will "cure" or alleviate that condition...they run to the doctor and do what the ad says...'ASK YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT".....$$$$$ IS THE OBJECTIVE.
here's an EXAMPLE.,true story
my husband comes home from golf, says of one of his partners wives has scoliosis, she goes to the doctor and he writes a script for a drug that should improve the problem, I do research on the drug because I have the same condition....the research HAS A BIG BLACK BOX WARNING on the package, does the doctor tell her this...NO. I am not clear if she trusts her doctor to NOT harm her or if she does her research...the issue,,HE DID NOT INDICATE THE BAD SIDE EFFECT that warrant a big black box warning......

You don't list them because you can't.
So I did "my research" and this is what Grok.com came up with.
"The most notable full permanent withdrawals for safety or related reasons since 2020 include:
Lorcaserin (Belviq) — Withdrawn in February 2020; increased risk of cancer (based on long-term trial data showing higher cancer incidence).
Ranitidine (Zantac and all generics) — Requested withdrawal in April 2020 (effective market removal shortly after); due to contamination with NDMA, a probable human carcinogen that forms over time in the drug."
Wow 2 drugs since 2020. I can let drugs since 2000 if you like. There's my research, I. stand by it and will not accept your assertion, for which you have no proof. I'll leave with the fact that you posted
a blatant falsehood..
Prove me wrong.
Sad to hear from you that your physician treats you to make money.
your research was/is incomplete....u have your of pov about the med community...i live in a somewhat rural area MONTROSE...the services provided here r questionable , INCOMPLETE. .go to Leapfrog.com
it will give u the scores of hospitals...scored on a variety of factors...our hospital; would not response to some of the questions and the remaining questions were given a score of c or c minus.
I posted this else where i guess, but I will repost this sad story of how ignorant doctors r. in some locations.
My husband was stopped by a causal neighbor we know, she was in tears and asking my husband WHAT HOSPITAL would do M.a.i.d.....her husband had prostrate cancer and was terminal and in alot of pain, the doctor would not give him pain killers, because he thought he might BECOME ADDICTED...HE ASKED FOR MEDICAL AID IN DYING,DOCTOR REFUSED, BECAUSE THIS HOSPITAL; DOES NOT ALLOW, IT IS THE LAW IN Colorado....MY HUSBAND CALLED ME FOR THE INFO SHE NEEDED...it was too late.
HERE'S what u do not understand...PALLIATIVE CARE can be requested and should be honored and when the patient is 6 m0 or under terminal, they go to hospice. THIS DOCTOR did not treat his patient, he stone walled him.......terrible pain, doctor does not prescribe because of an ignorant stance, this happens all the time...u r just not aware of the problem....
and just for good measure, I am on the ethics committee at the hospital,I have worked with the director of COMPASSION AND CHOICES in Denver...to co ordinate a presentation (with a physician) to present to the hospital. I have had conference meetings with CMO's and am VERY plugged into the present status of the med. arena. My extensive experience in dealing with the medical side is NOT minimal. So u can
rest assured that I am not blowing smoke when I say..the medical arena/pharmco is fubarred.
BUT, one of these fine days, u too will experience the truth,
Once again you post an untruth regarding the FDA. Either drop it or admit that you do not have a factual basis for your claim. Which is pure B.S. at this point. Again" Prove me Wrong"
I am sorry. for the anecdotal report of the loss of your casual neighbor's husband. Evidently he was only a phone call away from dying. Cancer does not discriminate.
If what you describe as palliative care does not require an M.D. to run afoul of Colorado license requirements please show me who will prescribe the narcotics necessary. If you think it can be done without narcotic painkillers have at it. Do you know when a patient is 6 months from dying, does any physician know?
Glad to see that you are involved in this topic. Why don't you give us he names of these doctors that are "stonewalling". A good factual place to start.
The layoffs have also decimated the communications offices across the Agency. These teams play a vital role in translating complex scientific and regulatory findings into plain language, keeping the public – including healthcare providers -- informed in a timely way about safety issues, product recalls, and approval of new products.
What was once a functioning system of scientific review and oversight has become a quagmire.
Critics of the cuts note that they appear ideologically driven rather than rooted in performance metrics or operational necessity. The Trump administration has long advocated shrinking the federal bureaucracy under the banners of “efficiency” and “draining the swamp.” But the new decision-makers seem not to understand that some government agencies – of which the FDA is the prototype -- must make affirmative decisions before products can be marketed. Thus, in practice, relentless, largely indiscriminate firings and the toxic atmosphere have left critical agencies hollowed out, riddled with inefficiencies, and unable to serve the people they are tasked with protecting.

U R NOT RESEARCHING THE PROPER AVENUES OF INFORMATION CONCERNING THE FDA...
u will not 'best me' because I an a self advocating individual and allowing the med. community to have carte blanch is not my m.o. ....I have gone head to head with chief medical officers of clinics,THEY have said I am not the typical patient ....YA THINK
