285bound.com just received this letter from the Park County Republican Committee.

285bound.com was happy to provide the forum, but we would like to thank Becky for the incredible amount of time and work it took to drive all over this huge county for weeks collecting video for our members and guests. Our tech crew spent alot of time on this as well (jf1acai and PD) and we appreciate it more than you know.

Dear 285Bound.com,

Thank you for posting the videos of the Park County Republican sanctioned three candidate debates and the five “Meet the Candidates” programs. This is a new way for the candidates in Park County to communicate with the voters. We also wish to thank Becky Van Hout for the vision to see the need by the candidates via video to reach out to the voters that could not attend these events. The voters that watched the videos posted on 285Bound were then better informed about the candidates and issues that the candidates must deal with when elected. Thanks for the courage to post these videos and to allow the voters to post their varying opinions on 285Bound to show how they feel. Your service to the county helped make most everyone feels like a winner.

Sincerely,

Arthur Hall secretary,
Park County Republican Central Committee.

Proudly serving mountain Jeffco, Clear Creek & Park County!

I'd like to thank JMC who, at our very first meeting, when he suggested giving candidates having a written forum on 285Bound, accepted my suggestion of videotaping the debates instead, and who got the ball rolling to make it happen. It wouldn't have happened without Becky volunteering to attend and tape all the debates and without PD working up the code to put the debates online.

It is nice to see a local website look at more modern ways of doing things than just settling with the same old way it has always been done. I think this kind of innovation and willingness to try new ideas sets 285Bound apart up here.

This is very cool. I am not in Park County but I think it was a real public service for Becky to tape these candidates talks and for them to be posted here. Keep up the good work!

Team work is an amazing thing and a beauty to behold.
So many people worked together to get these recordings done for the community.
Jim and Robyn gave all of us a vehicle to do something positive for our community. Jack and Dusty were amazing in finding a program and getting things out to all of you. All I did was drive around and tape. I had the easy job. It was so much fun and we all learned a lot.
This community is so blessed to have such amazing people working for and using this site.
We are just at the beginning of this road and the future is looking pretty bright out there.
We ALL have an opportunity to step up and offer whatever talents and gifts we have to this community and I thank Robyn and Jim for their vision and hard work to make this happen for all of us.
This is going to be a fun ride.
