My election record continues, the 2 candidates I sent money to, Tancredo & Frazier lost. I think I will support the Dems financially next time. Sending $10 to Obama today.

Only 85% voted for Parkco sheriff, and 12% of those voted for a write in....

Clearly more than just a few are unhappy.

So, how did that "Write-y In-y thing" for Sheriff work out for ya?

I'm not too sad about the Colorado results...About what I expected...

Hickenlooper, shoo-in ... (And if you add the votes of Tancredo AND Maes together, it still wouldn't have beaten Hick. So, I don't think you can say Maes was a "spoiler")
Bennett/Buck .. Still too close to call, but I have a feeling Bennett will pull it out.
DeGette, back in.
Markey, out...but that's not a surprise.
Polis, back in.
Perlmutter, back in.

"Clear the bench"?... All of the judges retained.
"Put $2,000 back in your own (selfish) pockets"...All of the Amendments and Referendums shot down

So, all in all, it's not such a bad day for Colorado...

Nationally?....A bit worse than I predicted. Sestak losing to Toomey was a bit of a surprise.

But most of the nut-jobs got shot down:

Reid over Angle... Duh!
Coons over "The Good Witch", O'Donnell... Duh!
Manchin over Raese in West Virginia... Duh!
Cuomo over Paladino for NY Governor
Brown over Whitman for CA Governor
Boxer over Fiorina for CA Senator

Mikulski in Maryland
Widen over Huffman in Oregon
Murray / Rossi in Washington, still too close to call...(but ahead by 14,000 at the moment)
Alaska...Looks like Murkowsky has a 10-point lead over Miller... (Is that a plurality election, or will there be a runoff?...I'm not sure about Alaska's process...)

Rand Paul?!?! - I guess you CAN fool some of the people all of the time...

All in all, about what I expected...Except I'm pretty pleased with the way things turned out in Colorado...

So, hello to gridlock; good-bye to recovery...

Edited to add: I found it funny that all night long virtually every single Republican Senate and House winner was asked: "If you extend the tax-cuts for the top bracket, the people making over $250,000, what will you cut to counter-balance the additional $700-BILLION that is going to cost?" Not ONE of them would answer the question with anything more than the regurgitated talking-points about "The American people have spoken..." Either they don't want to have to face it, or they're too dumb to realize that it doesn't pay for itself.

LJ: The simple solution to your very easy question:

CUT THE SIZE OF GOVERNMENT. It will cost less to run it!

That still didn't answer the question, does it....?

WHAT, SPECIFICALLY, would you cut to get down $700-Billion? No one would answer it last night, and you're not answering it now.

"Cut the size of government..." That's like being FOR "Mom & apple-pie"... Yeah, sure... WHAT would you cut? All the Righties do is regurgitate the same drivel.

No democrat wants to acknowledge Rubio....they are hoping he falls off a cliff. He is gonna be a problem for the dems for quite a while.

How about a Christie/Rubio ticket for 2012?

Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!

Rubio wasn't a declared winner when I posted my original post... And frankly, he wasn't on the top of my mental list anyway.

So, he's declared the winner... Good for him.
