Denver Post had an article about this today. An un-named friend and fellow Congressman has advised her to walk away. She has been too vilified to be an effective leader now.
Personally I think she has shown limited intelligence and negotiating ability to be a good minority leader. But I do think it would help the Republicans if she did win the job.

Clearly she is no Tip O'Neill nor a Newt Gingrich.

I am hoping she will be the face of the Democratic House for 2 more years and keep reminding Americans of the 3 who got us here. Obama, Reid and Pelosi. It will help in the next election. The voters obviously wanted change this election and if they keep yer and Reid, then it is obvious that the Dems in congress aren't listening and are keeping the same people. The only party that is offering change is the Republicans.

I would have thought she had already mounted on her broom and rode off into the sunset. IMO there is no way the Democratic Party will stand behind her now after this election but then stranger things have happened in my lifetime.

No, that was Christine O'Donnell that you saw riding the broom into the sunset.

Pelosi has the advantage of being unbeatable in her district. She won with over 80% of the vote. That's a good thing for the leadership of a party in Congress - look at Daschle or Foley. They lost and took their party down with them. It looks really bad when the Speaker loses.

:Koolaid:

You need to revisit your argument. As speaker of the house and leader, she got shellacked by the biggest margin in over 70 years. She's a loser. She did take down her liberal socialist party. The power of her broom was downgraded from nuclear to wind.

Normally you would think having a hard left Speaker would hurt the chances of Dem legislation passing, but Pelosi was able to pass Cap n' Trade & even Obamacare. It was Reid and the Senate who couldn't finish the job on C&T or giving the goverment option in healthcare.

Yeah, I wish Reid would step down. He's pretty ineffective as a leader.

:yeahthat:

But I bet you will never see her in coach. She has money she'll upgrade every flight, and there won't be near as many cross country trips.
