yep....right up there with compassionate conservative....an oxymoron....or maybe just a moron.
Sweetheart, compassionate conservative is a definition of conservatives by liberals. Just a note, Conservatives are compassionate towards liberals everyday. If we weren't compassionate - there would be no liberals.

How would you feel if you learned that mankind is nothing more than a survival of the species, and that mankind is here by chance, and not by the grace of God?
Noting that I've not read the rest of the thread, only answering this: I'd go on with life as per normal.
Though reading though the rest of the thread, perhaps become more reclusive than I already am, and much more wary of people. Especially with the assumptions that no morality can exist outside of Christianity, and the assumptions that what happens after you die are much more important that right now. God or no god - being a decent person is not dependent upon that. The RIGHT NOW matters - and the laws that guide us would still exist, since the basis for those laws predates Christianity - the don't steal, don't kill, don't have sex with your brother, etc - all good and practical laws that have likely been about since the first cave men, long before they concieved of gods.
But its the idea you can just do whatever you like without a god that would make me wary, reclusive, and well armed if this revelation were to ever come about. because you know there will be some jackals who would act upon it.
I beleive in God, when you see a camel give birth, and you have lots of camels and say praise Allah, thank you for my camels. When I see my wives eating my food, and drinking fermented goats milk, not so much.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

Yes, imagine that....and then Allah gives you 72 virgins as a bonus. Of course, he doesn't tell you if they all look like Rosie O'Donnell or Nicole Kidman.
