John Bolton for President

I really like this guy. He's never run for an office. He is a Yale law school grad (that should be enough credentials for the elitist left). He certainly understands foreign policy and has a history getting things done in the slow moving U.S. government. I also liked his no non-sense approach to the UN when he was Ambassador. The best thing about Bolton, he's a conservative.

He's too logical to be President!!! Speaks well, all on his own, understands foreign policy. Seems to be a realist.

Now that you have brought him up the attacks will begin, I'm sure.

You say that like it's a bad thing Nmysys!

Sounds like someone I could like.

I don't know much about him, so I'd have to learn more before I can decide if he's worth backing or not. (Never been a fan of Yale though - like Harvard and Stanford much better!)

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

Reminds me of the old joke:

Q - Where did you get your education?

A - From Yale.

Q - What was your name again?

A - Yohnson

I never did like his singing. From what I heard, he did terrible on Dancing with the Stars too. I can't believe he is going into politics...

Me either. I hate his singing and the guy looks like a walrus.

He doesn't have a spotless record. His career has been filled with controversy. Surely the right can find someone less polarizing.

Critics allege Bolton tried to spin intelligence to support his views and political objectives on a number of occasions. Greg Thielmann, of the State Department's Bureau of Intelligence and Research (INR), was assigned as the daily intelligence liaison to Bolton. Thielmann stated to Seymour Hersh that, "Bolton seemed troubled because INR was not telling him what he wanted to hear ... I was intercepted at the door of his office and told, 'The Undersecretary doesn't need you to attend this meeting anymore.'" According to former coworkers, Bolton withheld information that ran counter to his goals from Secretary of State Colin Powell on multiple occasions, and from Powell's successor Condoleezza Rice on at least one occasion.
