4 American hostages killed by pirates, US says

NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) - Four Americans taken hostage by Somali pirates off East Africa were shot and killed by their captors Monday, the U.S. military said, marking the first time U.S. citizens have been killed in a wave of pirate attacks plaguing the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean for years. U.S. naval forces, who were trailing the Americans' captured yacht with four warships, quickly boarded the vessel after hearing the gunfire and tried to provide lifesaving care to the Americans, but they died of their wounds, the U.S. Central Command said in a statement.

They, the navy, were able to get to the boat but unable to kill any of obamas cousins. It doesn't pass the giggle test. Doesn't it make you feel good to know who is in charge of this country's security. :thumbsup:

I hope the Navy made sure that the pirates didn't make it either.

They were taken in to custody.


Should be towed behind, in small craft, used for target practice.

Now we can bring them to the U.S., try them in the U.S. courts and turn the whole thing into a media circus. Sounds like a plan to me.
