Viking....are your dad and family conservatives? It seems the conservatives here in AZ have blinders on when it comes to the problems of the local hispanic citizens....starting at the top with our governor.

just sayin.

archer wrote: nice try trouble....I didn't quote from a source and then not identify it....I stated an opinion, not a copy paste from an un-named source. You all asked for a source for my opinion.....and gee, I gave it to you. If I had quoted or copy-pasted from a source I would have cited it.

Care to try that spin again??????

The gist of your source said that legal residents may be leaving. That is what I am pointing out to you. It does not say that they are leaving.

Do you have a source that says that legal residents are leaving?

Since that article was 8 months old, I wonder if there is something current that would back up archers claim? So maybe we can see how many actually HAVE LEFT or ARE LEAVING because of being profiled and not because the economy sucks. I don't think that is happening or the Huffington Rag would be running the story to back up their first non-factual story.

Well, Major Bean, I guess Archer can't produce a source. It looks to me like it's just her opinion based on watching... hahaha  ...THE EVENING NEWS!! And we all know the old saying about opinions... rofllol rofllol

yes.....and I told you up front it was my opinion, you asked for a source, I gave you a couple....you didn't like them, fine, but that doesn't give you a license to be insulting. If you have nothing to add to a discussion except insults, maybe you should try something other than message boards for a hobby

archer, the news media tries to manipulate our opinions with their choice of words and phrasing. Technically they have not told a lie but will knowingly mislead us. And quite a bit of the time they will give anecdotal stories to lead us to believe that it applies universally whenever they know that it does not. Quite a lot of the time, they are trying to form public opinion, not report the news.

I understand that....but I am serious when I say you really need to live here, see what goes on in this city and state on a day to day basis, talk to people, read the papers, read the local message boards, listen to the news and yes try to decipher what is true and what is not.....that is how we form opinions, and I think I have done a decent job of sorting through these issues before forming an opinion......I know you think I'm wrong, and that's ok, but also look at the logic involved here, if you are a legal hispanic citizen, and the sheriff is going to be given the authority to stop people on the street if he suspects they are illegal.....well looking hispanic, being hispanic, speaking english with a spanish accent.......can you not understand why some might just up and move rather than deal with it?

I do wonder what the neighboring states think about Arizona chasing the illegals out of Arizona.....we do agree that illegals are leaving this state don't we? It may help Arizona's problem, and transfer it to NM or CO or where ever. When will the dems and reps get serious and deal with this on a national level?
