Perhap it was your preconceived idea of what Muslims are all about that made you sense fear, intimadation and intolerance in them. Very often we see what we want to see.....or in retrospect we think that is what we saw because of our current prejudices.
archer, many news articles have been posted of current actions by Muslims. These are evidence of what Islam is about. No articles have been posted by their sympathetic apologists about Muslim bake sales, charities, and acts of kindness.
Much has been posted about their treatment of women.
Now, who has preconceived ideas concerning Islam? Those who post evidence or those who want to deflect and rail against another religion? Now, be honest.

I love the way you assume you know what people think without asking.....I have simply been asking questions here. It is because I do not have a lot of preconcieved ideas that I have asked the questions I have, and have gotten some good answers, and some really strange ones.
I do not like what I see of muslim countries, I abhor how most muslim countries are ruled and run, I do not condone how many muslims treat women and children and I cannot imaging how anyone would condone the rules etc of the muslim faith when they are used to kill, terrorize, or intimidate others, especially their own family. I do not, however, condemn all muslims, because there are many here in the US who do not fit the profile you are painting.....who are not terrorists, who do not beat their wives......who are good human beings. I hate when all people of a religion, a color, an ethnic background are condemned because some...maybe even most, who fit that profile behave badly. I don't condemn all Christians because some are fanatics.....I don't condemn all hispanics because some are illegal here.....I will not even condemn all conservatives because some of them are hateful and overly judgemental, and I don't condemn all muslims for the faith they are a part of.
CG, can you please back up your claim that whites in the US are doing things worse then what muslims are doing? Keep in mind, that muslims are stoning people, blowing themselves up on buses, in town squares, making road side bombs, shooting men..women, and children, flying airplanes into buildings, using children as bombers, using cartoons to lure children into becoming bombers, beheadings, etc. I am wondering where your thinking is???
Archer, please help me here, the hispanics are getting known for murders on the border and south of the border, for demanding rights they don't deserve or should get in the United States..many are crowding the US prison system, we cannot afford them here. As far as muslims, its just in the beginning stage of creating more problems, thank God law enforcment are catching some of these nut jobs. The next two years will be very telling, for the US and the rest of the world.

Maybe you need to help me understand what you mean....it sure sounds like you want to condemn all hispanics because some on the border are thugs and murderers, same with muslims......why would you judge all hispanics by the actions of some when you do not want all Christians to be judged by the actions of some, or all men to be judged by the actions of those who beat their wives....I simply cannot understand that kind of thinking. I was brought up to judge each individual on their own merits, most especially not to judge based on ethnicity (that is not something a person chooses), religion, or political party ( OK, I made that up, but my mom is a lifelong Republican and she still loves me).

So are US people as individuals. Do you watch the daily news? We as a society kill people ( capital punishment ). Could that not be taken as the same thing?
You can't just throw up a couple videos as evidence. I could do the same with US people.
Here is a question. Your government made abortion legal. Are you the government? Do you feel that you are part of the whole US that believes in abortion now because it is legal in your country? With all the unrest and poverty, I would think that would secure you compassion. I am guessing the first thing on most people's mind is not killing but survival. And people do alot of things when in survival mode.
Let's say you guys are right Muslim countries are evil. What do you want to do about it? Give me your perfect scenario.
