Our interview went a little something like this:
Can you describe your business?
Mike: We have been in business since 1977. We've been in Evergreen since 1995 and in Bailey, Colorado for two years now.
Why did you choose this profession?My parents owned the company my whole life so I grew up doing it. They retired seven years ago so I took over.
Do you live in the area?Yeah. I live in Bailey in the Burland Ranchettes.
What do you like most about living and working in Bailey?It's small; people are very friendly and very community-oriented.
Anything unique that you could tell us about your business?We do everything on a flat rate, so if you call us, the price we quote you on the phone is the price we charge you when we get the job done. You'll know what we are going to charge you from the start.
Have you ever had any odd requests from clients?Yeah, I've had a few. People wanting to install deadbolts on bathroom doors, closet doors, every door in their house. It makes you wonder, "Why do you need a deadbolt in your bathroom?"

Anything else you want customers to know?
If you need something small done, like you need copies of keys, you can bring them to me at my house and I won't charge you a service call fee. We can also make car keys and program transponder/computer keys.
I'd like for the business to be able to get a second truck on the road, so any locksmith work I can get from the community is helpful.
