IREA power outage possibilty in Conifer Area.

Xcel may cut power from Soda Lakes Substation up to Tiny Town on their 115,000 Volt line.

We spoke with IREA and they said this is due to XCEL being concerned that their lines may be in danger because of the fire. They are are discussing it now. IREA does not believe this to be an issue for their line and hopefully it will not cut power but is a possibility.

Thank you to IREA for giving us the info.

What...the speculative info or being told not to call and bother IREA anymore with questions?

As for the power outage....You are correct. It is not going to happen.
Perhaps a follow up would have been in order here.
Or perhaps IREA Man should post on both websites since he is using their official name as his nickname.
Seems to me that the viewers of both websites own IREA....right?

IMO....Anyone posting with IREA's name as their nic and avatar is acting on behalf of my power company as a spokesperson and as such is obligated to remain neutral and not have a website preference. He has no right to tell people not to call IREA to confirm if information being posted is true and reliable.

We now believe there is little to no chance of this outage happening.
Please refrain from calling and asking questions that can be answered here.
I just wanted to give people a heads up in case this was to become a reality.

(Just wanted to preserve that before it disappeared.)

IREAMAN is a member on Pinecam and did post on Pinecam earlier today and has now edited the post to say this is no longer happening. IREAMAN does work for IREA and has been a very important source of news/information/updates in past instances with weather and fire related outages.
