Neighbor wants to remove siding

lol I didn't solicit any of the information. It was given to me. And all I asked in this website is whether it is doable in ParkCo.

I would think the mortgage companies might have an interest if some of the siding is dismantled?

I, too would also be concerned about losing insulation value but it seems to work very effectively in Alaska.

And just to be fair some of the people do like flower arrangements in old toilets, bathtubs, water tanks, tires, etc.

I was in Wasilla, Alaska last year. Gotta say the place was a pit, the living conditions are atrocious and the people, well, I'll just say I never did see Russia, and I looked from every mountain top I could! Ha!

Seriously, the idea of taking siding off for reduced taxes is, well, nuts. IMO.

I suppose if you really wanted to do it right then you wouldn't finish the floors just use subflooring and not texture or paint the walls? Then that would give you a percentage not finished?

The county may come out and revoke the certificate of occupancy which would prohibit living in the house, if you get too carried away.

rofllol No not VL

There are a few homes around here with holes from the woodpeckers. Wonder if that counts as unfinished after about 100 or more of them?

Whoa, family member says that it used to be in PARKCO that you didn't have to have siding at all to get a Certificate of Occupancy? It just has to be closed in, have heat, taped drywall, doors on bedrooms, inside access to roof, a working toilet and faucet and a sink in the kitchen. But what about homes that have been finished and are going to be taken apart. I wonder if that makes any difference.

When I was a little kid, our neighbor replaced his toilet and set the old one in the front yard near the road. he then places a huge flower in it on a 10 foot stem, and every day, that stem got shorter and shorter until one day, the flower was gone. Next day, so was the toilet.

THAT was awesome.
