I guess my standards are a little lower. I'd say waking up on this side of the dirt, aches and pains that Motrin can suppress, problems that I can solve, and coming home to my own house and the Wundermutt at the end of a long day.
Great meals shared with good friends and family are special for me but I file those days under the heading celebration, those days are far better than great to me.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Taking a shelter puppy outside, to play, without it's siblings, the looks on their faces when the feet hit the ground was priceless. A chubby puppy running 25 yards, will crack you up, they are easily distracted. There are some great puppies at IMHS!

Of maybe in the great hunting grounds, the animals have weapons and you run around while they shoot. LOL
Wayne, what you describe sounds more like Purgatory. Why did God make the animals out of meat if we were not meant to eat them?
Another great day surely involves a successful hunt, butchering of the take, and sharing of the bounty with family and friends. More great days in the future are secured by the meat that was harvested by the hunter.
What happens when the lights go out for the last time and I'm buried in a box under the ground? I don't know, I have yet to meet anyone who was dead, buried, and then came back to tell me how that works out. There is a rumor about some guy named Jesus doing that documented in some tabloid called the Bible but that's really more of an Easter kind of story...
