For the record, I have no command of 285Bound, faux or otherwise. And that makes it a great day for me.
If anyone is trying to control threads on 285bound it's you. I recall having made a post recently about the OWS crowd's preference for the US flag to wipe their butts with and you insisting that I not make that thread political; I edited my post out of politeness. I see how you play the game, if it's ok with ***** then it's ok - otherwise it's a problem that has to be corrected. Then there's your false neutral stance, you troll with the best of them.
Expect no quarter from me in the future. I'll post what I damm well please and continue to do so until the mods run me off this site too.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Yeah, you're right about the OWS post in the "How Do You Do The Dishes" in the Campfire, Otis.
I played along with your "list" of bachelor rules and said, "If you get to #8 Toilet Paper Is Optional, I"m leaving," remember?
Then you, in your infinite wisdom, decided to make a political statement in the Campfire -- about the OWS crowd and the American flag.
It was a fun thread until you injected that. And you changed your post because you were asked to after being reminded that political posts are for the Courthouse. <-- Edited to correct my error.
And I will post what I damn well please as well, even if some Righties get their panties in a bunch because it deviates from the original post.

Carry on, Otis.
Show me in the TOS where political posts are disallowed in the Campfire. If I'm wrong and the policy is documented I'll own up to it. Otherwise, if you're done, you are dismissed Mister Conservative Voice.

Sit with friends around the campfire. Roast a couple marshmallows, talk about local interests and issues. Hang around and talk with your neighbors. Breaking news topics and photos. Local questions and more...
I did not realize that nothing political was allowed in the Campfire. Thanks for pointing that out.

The OWS protests aren't of local interest? I consider them to be every bit as local as a forest fire and in as much need of attention. Once more, deflection instead of answering the question with a direct yes or no. What I don't read in any of those words is an absolute prohibition on the discussion of politics. Please explain how a discussion of local politics or other events would violate the TOS for 285bound.

Plain and simple. It doesn't. There is an unwritten preference to have them in the courthouse mainly because of vitriolic diatribes. The quote is a suggestion of the kind of discussions one might have around a campfire. I've never know that to be limited to any theme.
Additional insights into a theory mad it a great day today.
There is a WRITTEN preference to have them in the courthouse, and everyone knows it. Posting the description of the Campfire while NOT posting the description of the Courthouse is intellectually dishonest.
