Italian pizza? Bah! (Ugly American here) They don't know what pepperoni is, and they didn't pit the olives. (Roma restaurant.)

It was good other than that.

Overall, I think the majority has concluded that NY pizza is better than Chicago dough pies.

I just read this whole thread and have a sudden hankering for a deep dish Hawaiian pizza.

The best pizza is home made. None of the restaurants can come close.

Your welcome everybody- I always know the good deals..

And Fred, I also had pizza in Rome and Sicily and it was garbage, nothing like a real pizza. In the early 80's when we were on a small island near Sicily I saw Tina Louise ( Ginger from Gilligans island) in a Bakery one morning. She was my first if you know what I mean. I had a nice long chat with her and she was very friendly- aparently she hated the role of Ginger and what it did to her career, I didn't tell her what significance the role had in my life but I did ask for an autograph, she signed it "Love Tina Louise"...When were we packing to go home later I asked Lil Precious where my Tina Louise autograph was and she said "Oh, I blew my nose in it and threw it away"...Lil Precious was so jealous back then.

Last time you told the Gilligan's Island Ginger Fantasy, it was in Hawaii. Maybe you better write down these "stories" for better consistency. :)
