It's that time of year again- PVO elk and deer season starts on Saturday- you can call the cops again if you want, but last year all they did was drive by, they didn't even stop.

I thought rifle season did not start until October, only archery and muzzle loaders till then. Unless you are planning on poaching.

SURPRSE!
Somebody doesn't know the he/she is talking about.
Have you ever been hunting Stds?
Did you ever read the regulations?

In the unit I am in private land hunting is 10-20 to 11-18 for bucks and 9-1-12 to 1-31-12 for doe and cow elk.

While there are a lot of responsible hunters who will observe those dates, there are more than a few who hunt year round mostly at night since there are so many deer in this area. I hope they get caught one of these times.

Yep- Private Land for Doe and Cow in area 391 started 9-1-12. When I pulled into my driveway Saturday morning there was a nice cow trotting ahead of my car about 6 feet.

If she had hung around a few more hours I probably would have had a chance within the first few hours of hunting season!

She was in the right place- but lucky for her she moved on just in time.
