Well, it looks like I am going to get windows 8 today. The computer I bought with windows 7 has a hard drive problem. I am taking it back and getting the new one with wondows 8. I will be glad to review it for you. LOL Usually I have a strict rule of not buying a new OP within 6 months of release but I am going to do it.

Don't forget to make a backup restore CD. Our Sony laptop with windows 7 came with no CDs DVDs and you have to create your own, or die!

Speaking of older computers, I still have an old 386 laptop with 3.1 and a HP pavillion with Windows 95 that still operates. Have some CAD software on that that still works.

Microsoft still exists? Y'all haven't switched over to the superior Mac products yet?

The last time I was looking, I still could not afford a Mac desktop. I built my own PC instead and just swap out the motherboard, video card, and processors from time to time

How about a MacBook Pro Wily? I haven't price comparisoned recently, but of course doing it your way is the most economical, and conservation-minded! :like:
