Both my d-i-l and my s-i-l swear by their Macs. I'm a PC user so I'd probably swear AT a Mac. lol

I have always been a Windows user.
I am getting used to W7 right now and perhaps after researching it more may move up to 8.
Don't see myself going over to Mac since I am so used to Windows

The Mac vs PC argument will go on forever .
Even though alot of co workers in my line of work use Mac as it is a nice platform for audio /video production.
I can do everything they do on a Mac, on my workstations.
They're just two different ways of achieving the same goal.
One thing I've always disliked about Mac, though it has gotten better these days, is that peripherals needed in my profession were not all Mac compatible and vis a ver, The ones that were are fairly pricey. Apple's whole proprietary logic just screws people out of trying to keep costs down for outboard gear. Unlike PC where you can buy a multitude of products that work on any PC and several op systems.

I see no difference in their hardware in relation to PC hardware. they even use Intel chips now.
IF ya have the money go for it Most of us don't have that kinda cash to burn when a similar product can do the same thing for less.

Windows: If you're getting a little tired of the handful of low-resolution backgrounds for the Start screen in Windows 8, Stardock's Decor8 gives you all the tools you need to personalize it to your heart's content.

You can try Decor8 free for 30 days, after which it'll start nagging you to buy a full license. The app will only set you back $5 <snip>

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

I switched to Windows 7 involuntarily when a virus zapped my computer.

I can't stand it. It will be a snowy day in Colorado before I buy into Windows 8.

I "heard" windows 8 isn't doing too well (sales), was looking at "all in one" desktops for sale, hopefully windows 7 will remain an option for awhile longer. Windoze 7 seems pretty decent on our Sony laptop.
