I posted this on the Biggies Blog page in response to the Beer and Cheese post and thought I'd put it here as well:

Last year at my mostly nearly yearly sojourn to Song School in Lyons, CO I attended the soon to be traditional Come to Cheeses party and paired my home brewed Pale Ale with some Maytag Blue Cheese. WOW, WOW and WOW! If you've never had the Maytag cheeses, run to Google and get you some. You will thank me later!

I found an excellent organic beer at Biggies "Green Lakes - organic ale"; and for those who've been to Salida, Amica's Micro Brewery has awesome beers, Headwater IPA is my favorite.

Has anyone tried the new place in Conifer Town Center? Brooks Place Tavern (former Sushi Hai)?

I stopped in for a beer the other night and the place was packed. More germane to this thread: They have a pretty decent beer menu. They have one of my all time favorites on tap, Titan IPA, cold and fresh. They have four or five other beers on tap and a pretty extensive collection of bottled beers (and I'm not just talking about Bud/Miller/Coors junk either).

I highly reccomend Brooks Place, as a matter of fact we are going there tonight to try the burgers.
