I like the close-ups they got in this one - no one else thought to do that.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

Rains started on 9/11/13...and so did my vacation. We must have arrived minutes after this rock slide. This is the road leading out of Golden Gate Canyon State Park, a few miles east of Hwy 93. Timing is everything.

Just announced on the news that they will be blasting in Golden Gate Canyon. Which the last time I drove by, was west of 93. But that could have changed over the last few days. tongue:

Wise guy!

We were maybe 8 miles west of the state park, and less than 2 miles east of 93. We were leaving the park and traveling east to connect with 93. I'm glad we headed toward Golden and not Boulder that afternoon!

We are debating about our planned day trip to Cripple Creek and thinking with today's rain forecast it might be better to stay closer to home. I heard you (pacamom) have a river flowing through your property so you might need to be rescued...I could get pictures! tongue:
