Gas line in Beaver Brook Canyon Road area has been capped. Fire crews clearing the scene.

Thank goodness

Scanner is reporting that a portion of Hwy 40 near Quality Suites has been compromised. Approximately 1/2 lane is now gone.

Edited to add....Only shoulder is damaged.

Hwy 74 now has significant water flowing across it in Evergreen.

The following video was shot shortly after 5 p.m. today in Upper Bear Creek near Meadowbrook Lane. This video should demonstrate the seriousness of the situation for all those living on Upper or Lower Bear Creek.

Best wishes to all in the area, if you can't be dry be safe. If you believe the National Weather Service the forecast gets better on Monday night and on in to the rest of the week (who would have thought I would be complaining about rain/snow in September?!).
