Yeah I realized the close-up night shots aren't too bad. Camera placement is key.

Next step ....fun stuff......purchase a four camera day/night high resolution color video set (Microcenter has several.....reasonably priced) hard wire to a good PC and record real time to a file on the PC.....and set up to interface to the net with e-mail alerts when a movement happens. You can easily get the alerts anywhere you have net access worldwide and the files are yours until deleted. Routine stuff these days......for a bit more put this on your car , truck of RV.......good wildlife video in color (both two and four legged critters. The video is easily segmented frame by frame for excellent stills.

Read the article the last night. I like the way he mounted the camera indoors, free from the elements.

Like the idea of putting on a computer as DMR suggests.

Not too long ago someone reported a missing trail cam in the sheriff's blotter. So we aren't the only ones who have them go missing.

Well, I'm heading out this week to check out the cameras recommended. The Moultrie 880 and their M990i are the least expensive but the Bushnell HD MAX sounds good, too. The prices on Amazon are significantly lower than Bass Pro or Cabelas. I'm going to check out ease of operation for this starter unit, since it's all new to us. I'll keep you posted.

When I did some research it looked like Bushnell was the high quality, higher rated expensive brand. Moultrie are popular and cheaper for cheapskates like me. :) Good luck.

Geez you can't go anywhere without being watched nowdays. Be careful if you take a pee behind a tree in the forest, a camera may be watching you. :)
LOL Cameras are everywhere! Oh my!
