A little frustrated today. Seems to be more idiots out there this week. Need to get the holiday shopping thing behind me and find some time to get away for a few hours (preferably alone and at a good fishing spot).

Thanks for asking.

Not since the 80's when I still lived in Wisconsin. But that was with an ice shanty, some booze and a few other guys playing cards. I don't recall catching many fish. There is still a lot of open water on the rivers and creeks to flyfish especially below the dams. I get less cold if I keep moving.

I see some of the locals in Evergreen have already risked their lives up here on lake. Still too thin I think and open water in some spots. If they are gonna spend 4 hours freezing their tail on a lake for a mushy stocker, so be it. If I am that hard up for a fish dinner, I'll go to the market.

I am waiting for this seasons first call to remove an elk, deer or dog from a hole in the ice. Happens at least once per year and DOW and the Rec District won't do it.

I'm doing well. It appears I started some family tension last night. It will all work out.

I had a great day today. I was at a store near me with my daughter. Two people thought that we were sisters. Who hoo. That is like getting carded at the liquor store.
