Just heard. The place where my daughter boards is right there. We believe they are evacuating 35 horses. I worry about the barn cats.

Prayers for all involved.

There are lots of fire resources either on scene already or enroute.

The worst thing that they could do is leave their homes. After the Hayman fire there was also a grass fire in Oklahoma in the place where I was raised. They evacuated the homes and very many homes burned to the ground. This had never happened before. Never! The homes owners in the past always protected their homes and never was a house lost to grass fire. But this time after the evacuation the firefighters did not protect the homes. They let them burn.

There is something seriously wrong with the mentality of the firefighters nowadays.

Major Bean

Thank God many of the homes have tractors that are churning up the earth creating a line.

I have not heard back from my friends but told them not to call and give updates take care of business first and let us know when they are either in a safe place or the danger is gone.

We know her horse is in the middle of this but we have no idea what is going on because they cannot stop to tell us.

Which do you prefer, MB, live friends with no homes, or dead friends and the ff's who tried to save them, and no homes?
