Our shelter is filling up, folks! Please--ADOPT if you can...we have some WONDERFUL animals at IMHS waiting for their forever homes! Look who arrived today:

Gabby! What a gal--I just instantly loved this dog! Boxer mix, possibly a little hound in there for good luck, mellow and sweet. Seems to politely ignore cats, likes people and other dogs, easy to hang out with, about 6-7 yrs young:

...and Penny! CALLING ALL PLOTT HOUND LOVERS!!! This dog is just terrific- sweet, easy-going, would make a *terrific* family dog. She is a tail-wagger who is simply unphased by anything. Loves other dogs and seems ok w/ cats too! Penny looks is about 2 yrs old and she's a real love-bug:

Also still waiting for homes are ROCKY the black lab/pitty mix, BAILEY the black lab mix, TESSA the fabulous terrier, HOSS and SCAMP the wirehaired dachshunds, and PACO the Chihuahua.

Who's a LUCKY adopted dog? MOLLY and HOSS have new homes!

We took in 4 new dogs today and every dog kennel in our shelter is full. Meet the new pups!

Frampton, 4 yr old mini poodle, male, very sweet and cuddly, likes people and other dogs...

Irish, 1 1/2 yr old pug/Chihuahua mix female, she wants to be friends but this baby is VERY worried in the shelter and could use some TLC and a low stress permanent home...

Kokoa (we're sorry, she came to us with her name spelled this way) 4 yr old terrier/Chihuahua mix, hard to tell from our pic but she is small, sweet and spunky!--seems to really like other dogs and people...

...and Benny, what a cutie! This poor boy was left at another local shelter when his previous owner went to jail. Benny is 9 yrs old, and adorable, and such a little gentleman! We were called to the rescue today when the other shelter became short on space, and we hope to find a forever home for Benny soon!

Also still at IMHS in need of homes are PACO the Chihuahua, SCAMP the wirehaired dachshund mix, big ROCKY (the fabulous) black lab/pitbull mix, and last but never least TESSA the smartest terrier/shepherd ever!

KOKOA is a lucky adopted dog this week!

More dogs have arrived at IMHS this weekend, in need of homes. Meet the newbies:

Today we took in 2 adorable puppies and one fabulous longhaired German Shepherd mix...

Johnson! 8 wks, black lab mix, male, sweet and social with everyone:

Jasper-- 10 wks, border collie, adorable, sweet and smart! Won't last long--call or come to meet the puppies today!

Technical difficulties at the moment with the photo, but AMBER is the loveliest German Shepherd mix! She's black and red with a gorgeous long coat, very sweet and responsive.

New dogs are waiting for homes at IMHS! Introducing...

Butch Cassidy! 3-4yr old Rottweiler, nice dog, this guy! Seems mild-mannered and gentleman-like, just arrived today as an unclaimed stray from Park County and passed his temperament test with flying colors...seems good with dogs, people, and even cats:

Hailey! 1 yr old St. Francis Terrier mix, sent to IMHS from our friends at a Denver shelter who fell in love with her and wanted her to get a great home. Active and lively, good with people and many other dogs:

Thomas- 5 yr old Boston Terrier, male--Thomas is SO petrified at the shelter. He needs a patient, understanding home who can work with helping him to build some confidence and overcome his insecurity:

Eli arrived at IMHS today when his folks could no longer care for him...he is a WONDERFUL dog! 1 yr old, German Shepherd/Lab/Australian shepherd mix, good w/ other dogs and people of all ages. Eli is a super good boy and needs a forever home where he'll get love and exercise. He's well behaved, smart, and affectionate.

Please help spread the word about adoptable dogs at IMHS! We've got one AWESOME puppy and several terrifc adult dogs at the shelter and in foster care, and we are full to capacity! Yesterday we took in a really lovely, happy-go-lucky pair of 6-yr old white German Shepherd/husky mix dogs named Silver and Scout:

These dogs are SUPER sweet, and seem to be truly very bonded. We are offering a specially reduced adoption fee for anyone willing to adopt Silver and Scout together! They seem to be great with people of all ages and other dogs as well.

Introducing DUKE! 1 1/2 yr. old Mastiff mix--what a GREAT dog he is! He has a history of playing really well with other dogs in a shelter environment, but then becoming very dominant with other dogs once he is established in a home. He may do best as an only dog, or with a gentle but assertive, breed savvy person.

Duke is handsome, sweet, and playful. He walks well on a Gentle Leader head harness and he's polite and well-mannered! He **LOVES** to fetch squeaky toys and tennis balls!

A little rawhide play action (he even lets us take it out of his mouth--nice boy!)...

Pobrecito Howie! Basset lovers...please come to the aid of Howie by spreading the word about his need for a home!

Howie came to IMHS this week when his family moved and would no longer keep him. They'd had him 7 yrs and got him from a breeder as a puppy. Now poor Howie is homeless.

We LOVE him! He's got a terrific basset hound personality and he's full of love. Sadly he's quite overweight so we've got him on a diet right now. He'd love a new home, some low-cal food and extra walks!

Howie is loveable with everyone...
