It has been such a busy day, I think we all have been a bit overtaxed.
Please think a bit about those who are really overtaxed, the firefighters on the line and the dispatchers attempting to handle all the stuff that has come up today.
Pray (or whatever you prefer that is PC) that tomorrow will be a better day.

Is there smoke from these fires coming this way? Last night we smelled smoke in the air in the Brook Forest/Black Mountain/Shadow Mountain area. It's hard to tell anything at night about the source. Is there a map anywhere showing the smoke plumes from the many fires and where we can reasonably expect to smell smoke?
7 News just had the 9 a.m. briefing - the fire rep there said that the infra-red map from last night (before the fire blew up) showed 1500 acres so they're "guestimating" the fire at 2000 acres this morning. He said another infra-red will probably be done tonight. Unsure how the WildCAD figure was arrived at.
