ESTES PARK, Colo. -- A house fire spread to additional structures in Estes Park around noon on Saturday.
The fire, on High Drive also spread to nearby wildland, sending a thick plume of black smoke into the sky over Estes Park.
On the other fire we hear that Garden of the Gods is closed right now. More info as it becomes available.
I also wondered what 'fire watch with planes' meant. I have not heard that before.
With the number of fires in CO currently requesting air resources, I am curious where these planes will come from to do 'fire watch'. Maybe extended infrared detection flights?
I like what I think the idea is, if the resources are available.

Fire watch by planes is meant that they are flying over the area with planes to watch for fires. My apologies if that did makes sense. I never heard of the state doing that before.
