I did research it myself, as evidenced by the numerous posts and links I've written here. I am convinced it is a real birth certificate.

I'm interested in why you think it's a fake. That I cannot research - you have to tell me your reasons.

You do!?! Like HOLY WOW! Batman. I was born in a military (Naval) facility in a far-a-way land and my folks didn't have no stinkin' bills--why did yours if you were born in a military hospital?-- and my parents kept important, informative papers big time. But I do have 3 "birth certificates". One called a Standard Certificate of Birth, another a Report of Birth and the third that "Certifies" my birth at the Naval Infirmary with a cool picture and my footprints. None of them reference religion in any way but they do show the attending Physician. So FREAKING WHAT! I do wonder what I would get if I requested a copy, though. As someone upthread mentioned every state has different ways of recording and reporting births. I am heartily amused that the easily duped are still obsessing over this brouhaha-hahaha. His mother after all was a US citizen, no?

I think the birthers have demoted her to a "maybe" US citizen, they probably want her birth certificate. But not to worry...if they ever decide that Obama was born in Hawaii they can always fall back on the argument that he denounced his citizenship so he could be an exchange student rather than a transfer student in college. There is just no end to this, one conspiracy theory after another. And.....not one bit of proof have they ever shown to back up their arguments....but they will beat you over the head asking for your proof.
