Maybe you need to up your homeopathic remedies, since I know you don't believe in meds.

Are there no healthy, vibrant individuals here? What happened to the rugged pioneer stock?
Mighty presumptuous. You can not conclude the pioneers were healthy individuals just because they survived a rugged life until the age of 30 or 40 before dying. I submit many here could do the same if the times were similar.
I actually read about avoiding artificial dyes in my What To Expect When You're Expecting book and started cutting them out of my diet then (it's harder than you think). Hmm, I'm thinking that starting a thread in The Health Center on what actions people took while pregnant, based on what info they read out there, or what advice they got from their doctors/midwives/doulas/friends/family/etc, might be a good discussion!
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
I'm sure it's worth a try to avoid things like this that could possibly have some effect, but when I see families with three and four generations of people with ADD/ADHD symptoms, it's hard to believe this isn't more nature than nurture.

It was always my understanding that lifespan was extremely short in the past. This is what has been offered and accepted in a person's upbringing.
But.....I have a couple of acquaintences who a fanatical genealogists and have researched their families and close associated kin and their descent. Their family trees include over 11,000 and 12,000 people. Their inclusions of ancestors and their kin and descendents remind me of wisteria trees rather than triangular shaped trees.
Anyway the average age of people at death was about 80. This average includes all deaths.
I was astounded.
I have traced my wife's ancestors and my ancestors as far as possible and the average age of death is the same as my acquaintences have documented, over 80 years of age.

In a word - bullsh*t.
Next you'll be trying to tell us you are a direct descendent of Zeus.
AspenValley, the family trees that I am speaking of are documented mostly with U.S. census records, marriage records, tombstones, cemetery records, Indian enrollment, books, etc.
What documents are you basing your above sputum upon?
I would suggest that you subscribe to Ancestry.com and begin researching. You will be surprised at what you find.
I've studied statistics. Families that were so out of the norm are virtually impossible, especially when you are talking thousands of members. Can't happen. And the odds of it happening in your "acquaintance" families as well as both you and your wives is totally beyond imagination.
Either the "records" you are referencing are totally bogus or you're just full of sh*t, especially if you are looking far enough back that childhood diseases weren't prevented through immunization. The child mortality alone knocked the hell out of average life expectancies as recently as the early 19th century. I simply don't believe your claim that you come from a practically superhuman family. Especially if you are, as you claim of native American descent. You know as well as I do what the mortality statistics looked like when native Americans were exposed to European microbes. Virtually 100% in some tribes.
