Agree, conservatives are all about use it now , screw the rest othe generations, unless it costs money or incurs debt. So brilliantly consistent. Leave no debt but a trashed environment. You guys are just soooo smart.

I don't even believe they're worried about debt other than how it might mean higher taxes for them. If you look at their record, Republicans for the past 30 years have been pushing an agenda that incurred debt without paying for it with current taxes. They just want to keep kicking the can down the road. If they can figure a way how to do it again now, even as the debt goes into the stratosphere, they will.

AV, that is a poor example to use right now after what the current -D administration has done to the debt and the deficit. Did you forget that the dems did not even bother to pass a budget last year?

I'd rather be a socialist than a foul-mouthed moron with memory deficits.

Don't change the subject. Do you deny that what I described has been the Republican strategy for 30 years or more?

Reagan, Bush 1 and Bush 2 all increased the debt by leaps and bounds. Not a word from the right wing. Do you have an ounce of honesty in your body? You a partisan hack playing like you have a higher motive. War is fine to protect big business but to help people -no way. Parasites like you make me want to puke.

Now, back to the environment. I think there is a difference between the conservative in Washington and the conservatives across the nation. The so-called conservatives in Washington and their mouthpieces on the am dial are absolute enemies of the environment because their largest donors tell them to be. I see many conservatives on here claiming they are pro-environment. I'll take them at their word.

Fine, we'll beat this horse for a while longer. I disagree with you a bit anyway. Republicans believed, wrongly so, that decreasing taxes would grow the economy enough to overwhelm the debt. They decreased taxes in order to do this. It didn't work out that way, but I don't think it was part of a selfish nefarious plan to increase the debt.
